Important Alert About Unauthorized Plan Changes for Pre-Medicare Retirees

We’ve become aware of some concerning activity by unauthorized brokers who switch retirees’ Individual and Family Plan enrollments without their knowledge or consent.

While distressing, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is doing all it can to identify and thwart these bad actors.

Here are some actions you can take to protect yourself:

  1. Monitor Enrollments: Keep a record of your current enrollments and regularly check on them by signing in to confirm active enrollment.

  2. Be Cautious: Doubt offers that seem too good to be true from unknown parties.

  3. Report Suspicious Calls: Hang up and inform Via Benefits immediately.

Callers from Via Benefits will always identify themselves and require authentication before making any changes to your plan enrollments.

If you suspect unauthorized changes or find a plan was changed without your approval, contact Via Benefits right away at 1-844-287-9945 (TTY: 711).
