Tips to Safeguard Your Medicare Information
Stop COVID-19 scammers from stealing your identity
Be careful to safeguard your Medicare Number — especially now. In some cases, scammers might tell you they'll send a COVID-19 test, masks, or other items in exchange for your Medicare Number or personal information. Don't fall for it. It's a scam.
Only give your Medicare Number to participating Medicare pharmacists, primary and specialty care doctors, or people you trust to work with Medicare on your behalf. Remember, Medicare will never call you to verify your Medicare Number.
